Story

In 1967 S. Scott Dance, Jr. started Dance Construction with little more than a pick-up truck and a wheel barrow completing concrete headwalls and other underground structures for utility contractors. Later that year his brother, Andy Dance, joined him as the company grew. Within two years they completed the Slade Towers Residence, their first multi-story concrete frame residential building, in Reisterstown, MD.

In 1975 the company was reorganized as Dance Brothers, Inc. with Andy becoming President. Scott’s son, Mike Dance, joined the family business in 1980 with the company completing many projects in the Baltimore area. Andy’s son, Jason Dance, came on board in 2002 after receiving a civil engineering degree from the University of Maryland to complete the family management team.

Dance Brothers, Inc. has completed many notable projects throughout the Baltimore & Washington Area including local colleges, parking garages, public and private schools, hospitals, museums, churches, pumping stations, prisons, residences, retail centers and stadiums. Today the company is managed by our President, Andy Dance, our Vice President, Jason Dance, and our invaluable Office Manager, Stacey Robinson, who has been with the company since 1990.
